Getting Started With Research

Learn how to find library resources here.

Find Books

We share a library catalog with CWRU, CIM and the Rock Hall. You can use keywords to search for books in our library catalog. When you find a book that interests you, pay attention to the location (which library owns the book) and the call number (to find it on the shelf). You can check out books from any of our partner libraries.

Can't find what you need in our catalog? Search OhioLINK! We have access to books from over 100 college and research libraries across the state. You can request from any of these schools and they'll send the book to CIA.

Find Articles (and lots of other things)

Use keywords to search for articles in a database. Start with the EBSCO Discovery Service (EDS), also referred to as Quick Search. The Quick Search searches through all of our databases at once, giving you the most results with a single search. Try it for yourself!

We have subscriptions to over 250 databases where you can search for articles, ebooks, streaming videos, images, and do research.
